Crosses win to face Montgomery

Four Crosses have booked a quarter final home tie with favourites Montgomery after beating Abermule in the MP Foulkes Montgomeryshire Cup.

Ben Oakley scored a hat-trick while Paul Hughes (2) and Gareth Jones also scored in the 6-2 win with Tom Andrew and Matt Jones replying for Abermule.

In the other outstanding round two match, a Geraint Roberts strike and an own goal were enough for Dyffryn Banw to go through with a 2-0 win at Kerry. They will face Caersws in the quarter final.

Llansantffraid Village v Llanfair Utd; Llanfechain v Guilsfield; Four Crosses v Montgomery; Dyffryn Banw v Caersws.

Ties to be played before the end of December 2012.

Meanwhile, in the The Robins (Newtown FC) League Cup round two, Llangedwyn won 5-1 at Llanymynech with James Evans scoring two.

In Honda One, Llanfechain and Meifod shared the points in a 1-1 draw while in Mitsubishi Two, goals from Nick Roberts and Ryan Ellis gave Waterloo Colts a welcome 2-1 win over Newtown Wanderers.
