Repair Specialist

U79, Newtown, Powys, UK

Overview:

The PCB Repair Specialist will work within a team dedicated to the fault finding and repair of manufactured PCBA’s.

The role will collaborate across all the engineering functions and liaise with the production teams to ensure timely repair of faulty PCBA’s.

The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include:

. Comply with the company Health and Safety policy and to conform to all Health and Safety practices and procedures.

. To repair failures proactively and in a timely manner.

. Input all repair data on relevant systems and ensure the repair velocity screen is updated.

. Collect data on failures and in conjunction with the engineering teams feedback to responsible area, and help resolve process/quality related issues with the teams.

. Provide investigative/process support to the engineering department.

. Assist and actively contribute to Root Cause Countermeasure (RCCM) actions.

. Support the NPI team with the implementation of new products.

. Assist in projects on reducing DPMO/Scrap.

. Support 3Q6S activities within the repair team.

. Take personal responsibility for own Quality Assurance.

. Have an adaptable and flexible approach to working shift patterns to meet the requirement within the production areas.

. Provide cross-plant flexibility if required.

Qualifications, Experience and Profile:

. Electrical Engineering Qualification or the willingness to achieve.

. Minimum 2 years experience in a high technology production environment.

. Good communication skills, and ability to work in a cross functional team environment.

. Problem solver and analytical thinker.

. Capable MS Office user.
