Berriew hit nine, Wanderers win derby

 Berriew celebrated the village show night by slapping nine goals past neighbours Abermule in the Spar Mid Wales League.

Dave Jones' Berriew were simply too strong for Clive McNamee's Abermule outfit and demonstrated their intentions to bounce back to the first division with a nine goal demolition job.

Llanfair Resrves are top of the Montgomeryshire League Honda Division One after smashing 10 goals past Waterloo Reserves. Toby Evans (3), Ben Jones (2), Josh Astley (2), Jay Bishop, Matt Bumford and Darryl Griffiths did the damage with Jack Holley getting a consolation for Rovers.

Llanrhaeadr Reserves surprised Caersws Reserves, winning 2-1 with goals from Sam Colbeck and Ryan Broadbent and Meifod beat Llanymynech 3-0 thanks to Rob Evans (2) and Phil Hughes goals.

Dafydd Evans scored twice and Mike Whyte and Sam Davies were also on taget asNewtown Wanderers won the Derby with Maesyrhandir 4-1. Jack Ottaway replied.
