A 'Food Trail' app and competition has been launched to tie in with Newtown Food Festival next month.

Food festival organisers have launched their Festival Trail app for use on mobile phones. It will allow visitors to gain more information as they tour the site on 2 and 3 September.
The food festical take place in the Town Hall Grounds between 10am and midnight on the Saturday and 10am and 5pm on the Sunday.
"We are thrilled to unveil an exciting addition to this year's Newtown Food Festival – the all-new 'Festival Trail,' " said a statement from the organisers.
"Set to delight festival-goers and food enthusiasts, the Festival Trail promises an engaging and rewarding experience that will take visitors on a journey of exploration across our vibrant festival site."

This is what you need to do:
Download the Festival App: Get ready to unlock a world of excitement by downloading our festival app, available for both iOS and Android devices. Simply search 'Newtown Food Festival' in your app store.
Navigate to the 'Trail' Page: Open the app and head to the dedicated 'Trail' page to begin your journey.
Scan QR Codes for Trail Points: As you explore the festival grounds, keep an eye out for special QR codes strategically placed throughout the site. Scan these codes using the app to unlock each trail point.
Complete the Trail and Enter the Competition: Successfully unlock all the trail items to gain eligibility for our fantastic competition. Follow the links provided within the app to complete the entry form.
"Our trail codes are all over the festival site and reward visitors for taking part in all aspects of the festival - attending our festival kitchen, listening to a set on our main stage, purchasing something from our exhibitors and visiting the bar for a well deserved drink," added organisers.
Winners will be drawn at random on the evening of Sunday, 3 September and contacted via email.
The organisers recently announced the event will be preceded with a Celeidh on Friday, 1 September.
The Ceilidh will take place at Hafan yr Afon in Back Lane, starting at 6.30pm.
"The main attraction of the Ceilidh is the electrifying performance by the renowned local band, Ffonic, who will take centre stage and set the tone for an unforgettable night," said a statement from Newtown Town Council, organisers of the food festival.
"Their fusion of traditional and contemporary music is sure to get everyone's feet tapping and bodies moving.
"Adding to the excitement is the presence of the talented caller, Claire Weston, who will guide the attendees through the Ceilidh dances. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, Claire's expertise ensures that everyone can participate and have a fantastic time."
Admisison will be £6 per person in advance or £7 on the evening.
"Families are especially welcome, with accompanied children under 16 enjoying free entry. Caffi Hafan, will be serving delicious refreshments throughout the evening, and a well-stocked bar will also be available for those looking to quench their thirst."
