Leisure centre and gyms re-open

Local gyms and leisure centres will begin opening this week with today's lifting of some restrictions.

Gyms, swimming pools and community centres are now permitted to open, along with two households meeting, along with another living on their own.

Maldwyn Leisure Centre is opening today, although as the centre is also acting as a mass vaccination centre the main hall is out of use.

Fitness classes begin at the centre from Tuesday.

Local private gyms in Newtown were due to open today as well.
