Newtown have stunned Mid Wales football by announcing that manager, Nathan Leonard, has left the club by “mutual agreement”.
The announcement came from out-of-the-blue late last night with the former Guilsfield boss leaving the post just a year after moving to Latham Park.
The club took the unusual move of not enabling fans to comment on their social media announcements on X and Facebook.
In their brief statement, Newtown Football Club wrote: “Newtown Football Club confirms that manager, Nathan Leonard, has left the club by mutual consent.
“The club wish to put on record our thanks to Lenny for his hard work at Latham Park over the past season.”
Newtown finished fourth in their first season back in the JD Cymru North following relegation from the top flight the previous year.
