Welshpool’s injury crisis has forced them to postpone a third fixture this season, forfeiting this weekend’s WRU Division One Cup tie against Caerphilly.
Head Coach, Daley Jones, explained: “We are all extremely disappointed to give Caerphilly the game but we were left with no choice as we need this extra time for some of our injured players to be back in time for next week’s league game against Llangefni.
“Unfortunately, we don’t have the playing numbers at present to withstand this injury crisis.”
Elsewhere in the Division One Cup, COBRA host Penarth who currently top Division One East Central, having won five out of six of their league games.
In the Division Three Cup, Newtown welcome Tonmawr to The Rec. The visitors play in Division 3 West Central and have won three of their four league games so far this season. Machynlleth travel south to take on Neyland of Division 3 West.
It’s a busy day for COBRA in the senior and youth cups. While their firsts are at home, their second string make the journey south to play Old Tyleryan in the Division Five Cup.
Also heading south to Cwmavon are COBRA Youths in the WRU National Youth Cup.
Newtown Youths entertain Loughor in the WRU National Youth Plate.
