Newtown back on track at Cefn Druids

Newtown got back to winning ways with a comfortable 5-0 win at Cefn Druids in the JD Cymru Premier League tonight with Aaron Williams completing a hat-trick.

The Robins led 3-0 at the break against bottom-of-the-table Druids after getting off to a flying start with a fourth minute goal from leading scorer Aaron Williams (pictured).

Nick Rushton made it 2-1 after 31 minutes and Williams was on target again six minutes later to make it a comfortable 3-0 lead at the break.

DXruids confined Newtown for most of the second half but Williams completed his hat-trick in the 76th minute and Rushton made it 5-0 on 83 minutes

Welshpool Town drew 2-2 in the Lock Stock Ardal North East League with Rhos Aelwyd

Daniel Roberts gave Rhos a 25th minute league only to see Ryan Edwards hit back to put Poo level at the halftime with a goal two minutes before halftime.

Dyfan Smith then put through his own net to give Welshpool the lead on 54 minutes but Rhos got back into the game with an equaliser from Aled Parry.
