There are some mouth-watering local games in the MMP Mid Wales League this weekend, providing the unsung heroes, also known as the hardworking groundsmen, manage to get games on this weekend.

The area is saturated and the forecast is hit and miss, but should we get some action, the stand out games in the Mid Wales League Division One see leaders Llanidloes Town welcome Carno, Berriew entertain Welshpool Town and Montgomery taking on Kerry.

At the top of the pyramid system, Newtown are in action tonight at Connah’s Quay Nomads in the JD Cymru Premier, while in the second tier, Guilsfield and Llanfair United hit the road north and Llanrhaeadr host Ruthin.

A number of clubs are in Central Wales Cup action with amateur league sides Bishop’s Castle and Llanymynech hoping to fly the flag through to round three.
