What do you think of Powys County Council services?

Residents in Newtown, Welshpool and surrounding communities are being asked what they think about their local area and council services as part of a new Powys-wide survey.

Powys County Council launched its "Let’s Talk: Living in Powys" survey today, Monday, 14 September, giving people across north Powys the opportunity to have their say on what it is like to live in their communities.

The council wants to hear what matters most to residents, their experiences of their local area and how they view and interact with the authority and the services it provides.

The responses will be used to help the council build a clearer picture of priorities and experiences in different communities across Powys.

Cllr Jake Berriman, Leader of Powys County Council and Cabinet Member for People, Performance and Partnerships, said: “The Let’s Talk: Living in Powys survey is an important opportunity for residents to tell us what life is like in their communities, what matters most to them, and how they feel about the services provided by the council.

“The more people who take part, the clearer picture we will have of residents’ priorities and experiences across Powys.

“I would encourage everyone to complete the survey and to share it with family, friends and neighbours so we can hear from as many voices as possible.”

The survey is being run by Data Cymru on behalf of Powys County Council and will remain open until Saturday, 31 October.

Residents can complete the survey online, while paper and easy read versions are also available through the council.

Completed paper copies can also be returned to library staff or scanned and emailed to haveyoursay@powys.gov.uk.
