Civic Society to host Broad Street history walk

Newtown and District Civic Society will hold its Autumn Bank Holiday walk on Monday, 31 August 2026.

Led by Edward Parry, the walk will explore “Broad Street, Then and Now”, looking at how the Newtown street has changed over the years.

Anyone interested should meet at The Cross in Newtown for a 2.30pm start.

The walk is free for Civic Society members and costs £3 for non-members.
