Powys students praised as A Level results released

Students across Powys have been congratulated after receiving their A Level and Level 3 qualification results today.

Young people throughout the county are now preparing to move on to university, apprenticeships, further training or employment following years of study.

Powys County Council said learners had achieved positive outcomes across a range of academic and vocational subjects.

Cllr James Gibson-Watt, the council’s Cabinet Member for a Learning Powys, said: “Congratulations to everyone receiving their results today. This is an important milestone and one that reflects the hard work, commitment and resilience learners have shown throughout their studies.

“Behind every result is a great deal of effort, determination and perseverance. Learners should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved and of the progress they have made.

“I would also like to thank our dedicated school staff, parents, carers and families who have supported and encouraged learners throughout their educational journey.

“Today is not only about grades. It is about recognising the commitment and personal achievements of our young people and celebrating the many different paths they will now take.”

He added: “Supporting our young people to achieve their potential is central to our ambition of creating a stronger, fairer and greener Powys.

“On behalf of Powys County Council, I wish all our learners every success and happiness as they move on to the next stage of their education, training or careers.”
