Residents invited to Osteoporosis event

Residents in Newtown are being invited to the next meeting of the Royal Osteoporosis Society’s local support group later this month.

The meeting will take place on Friday, 24th October 2025, at 2pm at Newtown Methodist Church, Back Lane (SY16 2NH).

The guest speaker will be Professor Mark Garton MD FRCP, Consultant Physician and Rheumatologist, who will talk about *Osteoporosis and its Current Treatments.

The session is open to everyone and admission is free. Light refreshments and pamphlets and information about osteoporosis and how to manage the condition will be available.

The Royal Osteoporosis Society’s local support groups provide an opportunity for people affected by the condition to share experiences, hear from medical professionals, and access practical advice.
