Newtown Town Council has announced it will be running another Young Traders Market following what organisers describe as the success of last year's inaugural event.
The market, scheduled for Tuesday 17th June from 8.30am to 3pm, will offer free stalls to budding entrepreneurs aged 16 to 30. The council says it will also provide insurance coverage at no cost.
The initiative appears to be part of efforts to encourage young people into retail and business ventures within the local area. Last year's event attracted a number of young traders.
Miriam Harrison, who can be contacted at miriam.harrison@newtown.org.uk, is handling enquiries about the market. She has encouraged interested young people to get in touch for more information about securing a pitch.
Young entrepreneurs interested in testing their business ideas in a market environment have until the event date to apply for one of the free stalls. The council has not specified how many pitches are available or the selection criteria for applicants.
