Buy a square to win artist's autumn print

20/11/2014 @ 05:33

Newtown artist Brian Jones has donated a framed first edition print of his painting ‘An Autumn View’ to local charity, A Voice for You and you can have a chance to win it.

The charity provides advocacy support for people with a learning disability in Montgomeryshire and also runs an evening social club for people with learning disabilities in Plas Dolerw, Newtown on the first Wednesday in every month.

The print is on view in the West Bromwich Building Society in Newtown where you can also buy a square to have a chance to win it. Squares are also on sale at Caroline’s Wool Shop, Alaven Leather and Newtopia or from the A Voice for You office in Plas Dolerw. The draw will be made on December 9th.

“We believe that the work we do is vitally important. People with learning disabilities are amongst the most vulnerable and discriminated against in the UK today. Having an advocate really does make a difference. The future of small charities like ourselves is under threat unless we can mobilise support in our local communities.

“We are therefore very grateful to Brian Jones for donating this magnificent print to us and to Trish Jones and the staff at the West Bromwich Building Society for allowing us to display the print and sell squares.”
