Newtown's new brand could be revealed soon

Town councillors have been told that work on a new Newtown Brand project is continuing and more information will be reported to them in May.

Work has been underway over the past year on a brand to help promote Newtown as a tourism and business destination. The work has been commissioned by Newtown Town Council and undertaken by consultants.

It was reported at last night's Economy and Environment Committee that a new temporary tourism officer would take up their post at the town council next month to help spearhead the promotion of the town.
