Town council backs EV charging points at Newtown drive-thru

Town councillors have supported plans for EV charging points at the McDonalds restaurant and drive-thru in Newtown.
An application has been made to Powys County Council to install two rapid EV charges and alterations to four existing parking spaces to become charging bays.

Seven town councillors supported the application at the Economy and Environment Committee on Monday night.
County council planning committee will consider the application later in the month.
