Restaurant and drive-thru plans EV charging points

Two rapid electric vehicle charging points could soon be installed at the McDonald's car park in Newtown.

A planning application has been submitted to Powys County Council for the installation of two rapid EV chargers and alterations to four existing parking spaces to become EV charging bays on the site off the Cambrian Way rounabout.

Newtown Town  Council's Economy and Environment Committee will consider the application on Monday. It can comment on the plans and submit these to the county council planning department for consideration.
