It was a Newtown parkrun record today with one runner smashing the race record, undertaking the course in just 15.19 minutes.

Jack Pickett ran the 5k course in the fastest time yet during the weekly run from Dolerw Park bridge and along the river bank and back.
The parkrun has become a major weekly event in Newtown, attracting hundreds of people to run, jog or walk the course.
The event is free and participants can meet before 9am every Saturday at the start. It's even better if you register in advance with park run so you have a barcode to find out your official run time.
