Newtown's household waste site is having to close temporarily to allow work on its drainage system.

The site on the Dyffryn Industrial Estate will close on Monday, 17 October and reopen on 22 October.
"Although the works will take five days to complete, they have been scheduled to ensure that the centre is only closed to the public for an additional three days, as it is normally closed on Thursdays and Fridays each week," said a council statement.
"If needed, recycling can be taken to one of the counties other Household Waste Recycling Centres. Please check online for opening days and times: https://en.powys.gov.uk/article/725/Household-Waste-Recycling-Centres
