Town shopping centre put up for sale

One of Newtown's main shopping areas has been put up for sale.

The Bear Lanes Shopping Centre off Broad Street, High Street and Back Lane, will be auctioned later this month with a guide price of £1million.

The centre has 20 retail units and several national chains currently located in it.

It was built just over 30 years ago having replaced the former Bear Hotel.

It is understood an auction will be held on 24 March.
