Rail services return to normal after 'incident'

Police have confirmed they took a man to safety from the Cambrian Railway in Newtown.

The line was closed for a time yesterday after concerns were raised by members of the public at 2.22pm.

British Transport Police attended with Dyfed Powys Police in the Llanidloes Road area.

Disruption was caused to trains into the evening, although today services have returned to normal.
