Five arrested after burglary

Five people have been arrested after a commercial burglary in Llanfair.

Police said a vehicle left the scene of the burglary before being stopped by police.

They have also one served with five fixed penalties of £60 for non-essential travelling during the COVID-19 restrictions.

Newtown Police said in a Tweet: "Commercial burglary reported in Montgomeryshire. Vehicle left the scene, but located by 34/609. 5 arrested and in custody. Bedded down for CID, all 5 given fixed penalties under COVID 19 non essential journeys. #StayAtHome #COVID19"
