Three arrested for drink and drug driving

A person was arrested for drug driving after a road was closed when another motorist crashed while drink driving over the weekend.

A car crashed near Bettws on Saturday with the driver arrested for drink-driving and while the road was closed another motorist was drug wiped and arrested for drug driving.

In a separate accident near Kerry another motorist was arrested for drink-driving.

Newtown Roads Policing Unit's sergeant tweeted: "A busy night that highlights the effects of Drink/Drug Driving. Below crashed in Bettws after drinking, a car was stopped due to road closure and drugwipe +ve for cannabis arrested by 34.

"Then an RTC on Kerry road a TWOC with disqualified driver that failed breath test."
