Busy few months ahead for Newtown Silver Band

Newtown Silver Band are about to embark on a busy Autumn schedule.

They will be appearing at the Newtown Food Festival on Sunday, 8 September at 12pm.

The band will then be busy preparing for a joint concert with the Tenovus Cancer Care Sing With Us Choir Llanidloes at All Saints Church, Newtown on Saturday, 5 October at 7pm.

The band will take part at the annual Festival of Remembrance at the Monty Club on Saturday, November 9 at 7pm and will lead the Armistice Parade on Sunday, 10 November.

Newtown Silver Band is looking for new members. If anyone is interested in joining the band or wanting to learn to play a brass instrument free of charge, go along to the band room in Back Lane.

The Learners Group and Training Band meet on a Monday night at 6.30pm. Senior band rehearsals are on a Thursday night at 7.30pm.
