Bloodied tissues and litter strewn in play area

A Newtown mother who took her two toddlers to play in the games square at Vaynor was horrified to find blood and bloodied tissue, along with litter.

The mum of a one-year-old and four-year-old had gone to the square next to the housing estate to let her children play safely.

She said she was horrified to "find piles of rubbish and a pile of bloody tissues with a blood stain on the floor. Not a very safe environment for my girls to play in."
