Stolen mountain bike returned after being sold

A mountain bike stolen from a house in Newtown earlier this week has been recovered by the owner after it was sold to someone.

Nathan Williams reported the bike stolen from the Falcon Court area at 10.30pm on Saturday night.

Police had urged anyone with information to contact them, while Nathan offered a £100 reward for its return.

Today, he told MyNewtown the bike had been sold to someone. “The police have been informed. So surprised to get it back,” he said.

The bike's seat has been damaged.

It is understood the police are still investigating in an attempt to identify the thief.
