Annual sailing and kayaking day pulls in the crowds

The opportunities of sailing and kayaking for disabled people at Llyn Clywedog have been demonstrated at open day.

Clywedog Sailing Club held its 10th Annual Disability Sailing and Kayaking Da on Saturday, breaking all records with over 100 registered and more than 150 individual sessions on the water.

'We had all of our specially adapted dinghies out and some of the wheelchair users were also seen having a go on the kayaks," said Commodore Keith Rollinson.

"Lots of families and carers, as well as those with a disability, were determined to sail and kayak and if unable to leave wheelchairs, have a ride around the lake in the wheelyboat."
