The host for the Powys Business Awards ceremony being held in September has been announced as TV’s favourite Welsh weatherman, Derek Brockway.
The awards include finalists from Newtown and throughout Montgomeryshire.
Derek has had a lifetime fascination with the weather and has presented a number of TV shows including 'Derek's Welsh Weather' and 'Weatherman Walking.’
Derek has added yet another string to his bow with the publication of four books - two walking books published by Aberystwyth-based Y Lolfa and a children's book by Gomer called "Duck and Starfish".
As a keen walker Derek is looking forward to spending some time in Brecon as this year’s awards dinner takes place at the Infantry Battle School, Dering Lines in Brecon and tickets can be purchased via the website.
The awards take place on 30 September.
