Residents are being invited to a live road traffic collision demonstration in Newtown next month, aimed at raising awareness of road safety following a series of serious incidents on Powys roads.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service will host the event at Newtown Fire Station on Saturday, May 16, between 10am and 3pm.
The day will include a live demonstration starting at 10.30am, giving the public an insight into how emergency services respond to road traffic collisions.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to speak to crews from Dyfed-Powys Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service, and learn more about road safety and driving initiatives.
Refreshments, including burgers and chips, will be available on site, with donations welcomed.
People are being encouraged to book a space in advance via Eventbrite.
The event will take place at Newtown Fire Station on Llanidloes Road. Parking will be available at Newtown Evangelical Church nearby, as there will be no parking at the fire station itself.
