A damaged piece of play equipment at a Newtown playpark is being replaced at a cost of more than £4,400 following vandalism.
The town council’s operations team confirmed that a horse swing had been damaged by a knife in an earlier incident. A replacement has now been received and will be installed at the playpark.
The cost of the new equipment is £4,486.50.
The update will be discussed by Newtown Town Council’s Services Committee, which outlines recent maintenance and repair work carried out across the town.
