Event will help support residents health and wellbeing

A local health and wellness event aimed at helping people discover what support and services are available in the Newtown area will take place later this month.

Hosted by the Montgomery Medical Practice Patients Association, the Health and Wellness Event will be held at Newtown Market Hall on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, from 10am to 3pm.

The drop-in event will bring together a wide range of local organisations, groups, and services focused on improving physical and mental wellbeing. Residents will be able to chat informally with representatives, pick up information, and learn more about healthy living opportunities in the community.

A spokesperson for the Montgomery Medical Practice Patients Association said the aim is to make it easier for people to see what’s on their doorstep.

“We want to bring health and wellness into the heart of Newtown and give people the chance to find out what support is available locally — whether that’s fitness, nutrition, or emotional wellbeing. It’s about encouraging small changes that can make a big difference.”

Free refreshments will be available throughout the day, and everyone is welcome to drop in at any time.
