'Art corner' will help people with little space at home

A local group is offering people with little space to undertake art at home a corner to hire for themselves.

Self-Able is offering a space, complete with easels, table, art equipment and materials for £10 a time.

The group is run by disabled and disability artists in Montgomeryshire and has taken over a space at the Newtown Focus Enterprise Hub at The Royal Welsh Warehouse (Pryce Jones Building).

Cornel Celf/Art Corner has received £4904 from the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. The fund aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK to pilot programmes and new approaches to prepare for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It invests in skills, community and place, local business, and supporting people into employment.

The regular art group sessions continue around Montgomeryshire. Upcoming meetings are at the Bowling Club, Machynlleth August 10th, the Hanging Gardens, Llanidloes, August 17th and the Enterprise Hub, Newtown, August 24th. They take place between 11am and 3pm.
