Access to some local paths, riverside areas and other green spaces are being continuously improved by the ranger employed by Open Newtown.

According to a report going before Newtown Town Council's Services Committee, a path between Lon Helyg to Lon Cerddyn has beens trimmed following concerns from local residents.
The ranger has also been undertaking clearance work in other areas that are managed by Open Newtown, including benches along the riverside.
Fences have also been repaired with work continuing this month, the report says.
