TG Group expands further

 The TG Group, which has an operation in both Newtown and Welshpool, has purchased the business assets of Hardwicks Landscape Centre at Wolverley, near Kidderminster. 

Managing Director, Tudor Griffiths said: “Hardwicks will add a new dimension and level of experience to the TG Group’s existing landscape supplies operations, which trade as Dream Patios and TG Builders Merchants. All members of Hardwicks’ staff are being retained in the new company which will trade as TG Hardwicks.”

A long established and well known specialist supplier to trade and retail markets of hard landscaping materials, Hardwicks also specialises in paving, rockery stone, decorative aggregates, fencing, soils and turf and more.

Mr Griffiths explained: “It is our intention to expand the Hardwicks stock range by adding many of the building, plumbing, agricultural, DIY products that are currently sold by the existing TG Builders Merchants outlets in Welshpool, Oswestry, Ellesmere, Chester, Nantwich and Northwich.

“Both the TG Group and Hardwicks are longstanding family businesses and this provided the perfect basis to bring together our combined expertise and product knowledge for the benefit of customers.”

The TG Group currently comprises: 12 concrete plants across North and Mid Wales, the Border Counties and Cheshire; sand & gravel quarries in Shropshire and Gwynedd, a sea-dredged sand outlet in Gwynedd; six builders merchants in North Shropshire, Cheshire and Powys , some coupled with specialised landscaping, kitchen and bathroom outlets; a waste landfill site and separate waste transfer station and skip hire business in North Shropshire, waste transfer station and skip hire business in Cheshire; Holiday apartments and touring caravan and camping sites in North Wales.
