Tough cup draw for Bluebirds

31/01/2011 @ 02:58

Caersws face a tough task if they are to make Welsh Cup progress following today's draw.

The Bluebirds, whose game at Port Talbot was called off last Saturday, will face either Wwelsh Premier League leaders Bangor City or bottom of the table Haverfordwest if they can progress in South Wales next Saturday.

The fifth round draw was made by Wales manager Gary Speed and former Celtic striker John Harston at the Vale of Glamorgan Resort.

Draw (ties to be played on Saturday, February 26): Gap Connah's Quay v Uwic, Port Talbot or Caersws v Bangor City or Haverfordwest County, Rhyl or TNS v Cardiff Grange Harlequins, Cefn Druids or Llanelli v Rhos Aelwyd or Prestatyn Town.

All five cup ties postponed last weekend will be played this Saturday. Rhyl v TNS will be shown live on S4C television with a 3.10pm kick-off. Rhos Aelwyd v Prestatyn starts at 1.30pm and the other three ties at 2pm.
