Jamie gets place in Wales squad

Coleg Powys Newtown student Jamie McIlroy has been selected to play for the under 17 Wales cricket team after successfully completing the two trial days in December.

He will be training with the team in February and has friendly games in May and June.

Jamie is studying Sport (Performance & Excellence) BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (Football Academy) at the College and currently plays cricket for Herefordshire under 17 and Builth Wells Firsts. He also plays football for Builth Reserves.
