More Last Minute Agony For Robins

30/01/2011 @ 08:45

There was more last minute agony for the Robins at Latham Park as Airbus won with an injury time goal.
The big spending North Walians arrived looking to push closer to a top six finish but found new-look Newtown a much difgferent proposition.
In fact Newtown looked more like a top six side themselves than their current next to bottom place.
Recent signing from Colwyn Bay, Ian Sheridan, put the Wingmakers in front after just four minutes, but defender Lee Hartshorn soon levelled for the Robins.
Making his debut, Chester loanee Tom McCready restored the visitors' lead, with Robbie Millington equalising again before half-time.
The game looked headed for a draw until McManus notched the late winner and put Craig Harrison's side level on points with eighth placed Aber.
It was later confirmed that Wingmakers' striker Andy Moran sustained a broken ankle after coming on as a sub and is almost certain the miss the rest of the season.
Newtown: D. Roberts, D. Swannik, L. Hartshorn, S. Sutton, P. Keddle, M. Cooke, R.Millington (S. Bailey), D. Blain, S. Jones, S. Highdale (G. Partridge) A. Worton. Att 160.
