28/01/2011 @ 08:03

Caersws hopes of pulling off a major Welsh Cup shock at Port Talbot tomorrow have been rocked by injuries.

Bluebirds manager Mickey Evans has seen his squad reduced by injury problems, striker Mattie Davies is cup tied with Penparccau and Andy Davies is unavailable.

On top of that Evans has goalkeeper Alex Ramsey struggling through illness and midfielder Scott Williams still nursing a rib injury.

”Our preparations have been far from ideal given the fact we have played only two games in as many months.”

Despite the problems the game gives Evans the chance to gauge how far his side has come since relegation from the Welsh Premier League, with Port Talbot looking assured of a top six finish before the February split.

Berriew will be looking to open a gap at the top of the Spar League when they entertauin Bow Street, while Carno are at home to Tywyn. Elsewhere Llanidloes entertain Dolgellau, Abermule host Bont, Llanfair are at home to Llanfyllin, Kerry travel to Rhosgoch and Montgomery face a second division showdown against second division leaders Tregaron Turfs
