Abermule have moved quickly to replace Shane Kirkham by capturing former Llanidloes sharp shooter Barry Bellis.
Bellis was being courted by Technogroup Welshpool and a number of other clubs but he has signed for the Spar Division Two side to reignite his passion for the game after a short hiatus.
“Signing Barry is a massive boost for the club,” said manager Steven Morris (right). “He will bring that bit of extra quality to the side and is a proven goalscorer at every club he has played for. Hopefully his arrival and the return of injured players will make us a tough team to beat until the end of the season in what is a difficult league to play in.”
Earlier this month, midfielder Kirkham returned to his former club Montgomery to replace Tom Evans who departed for Technogroup Welshpool over Christmas.
