Robins crash to another defeat

Newtown plunged deeper into Welsh Premier League relegation trouble with a 3-0 defeat at Port Talbot.

The Robins have now lost three in eight days and can only be thankfull that relegation partners Bala and Haverfordwest both suffered Saturday defeatgs as well.

The win edged Telbot  into the top six after but they were made to fight all the way by Newtown, who were playing catch-up after an error by goalkeeper Lee Williams (pictured) in the 12th minute. Williams let a shot from Lloyd Grist slip through his grasp and although the Robins gave as good as they got from then on they could not find the net.

There were only 10 minutes to go before Lee John netted and then Drew Fahiya put the result beyond Andy Cale's team.
