Free conference for football coaches

Local football coaches are invited to a free coaching conference taking place later this month.

The first-ever Central Wales FA Coaching Conference takes place in Rhayader on January 30. It offers the chance for local coaches to update their knowledge and learn more about modern trends and coaching techniques. There will also be guest presenters in the form of Stuart Webber (Liverpool FC), Callum McKenzie (Cardiff City FC), and Richard Gunney from the Welsh Football Trust.

The day-long event will be a mix of theoretical and practical sessions. Those attending do not need to hold a coaching qualification; however attendance will revalidate the Football Leaders Award for a further three years from its expiry.

The conference is being organised in partnership between the Powys County Council's Sports Development Team and the Welsh Football Trust.
