A second transfer window signing is on the way to Latham Park with Tom Rowlands joining from Airbus.
Rowlands (25) averaged a goal a game for West Cheshire League outfit Heswall FC before joining Connah's Quay in January 2008, but returned to Heswall after just two appearances for the Deeside outfit.
He arrived back in the Welsh Premier League with Airbus UK Broughton in 2008/9, leaving at the end of the season and signing for Cefn Druids. After half a season at Plas Kynaston Lane, he rejoined the Wingmakers in the January 2010 transfer window.
But Rowlands has been unable to break into the Wingmakers starting line-up and althopugh he was set for a surprise move to Technogroup Welshpool has now decided on Newtown.
"Tom has chosen Newtown ahead of a list of suitors," said Assistant Manager Lee Williams.
"I am thrilled to welcome him to Latham Park. He is strong and enthusiastic and really wanted to join Newtown.
