WRU cancels Saturday match

Newtown Rugby Club has called off its fixture this Saturday with Dolgellau through no fault of their own.

While Newtown was able to play last Saturday and advanced in the SWALEC Cup with a convincing win over Wrexham, many clubs were unable to complete their cup ties.

Therefore, the Welsh Rugby Union has stipulated that all matches must be played this weekend , meaning Dolgellau must travel to Llanidloes.

At the time of writing though, Newtown’s Youth is expected to travel to Llanidloes on Saturday for a league match starting at 2.30pm.

There is no 1st team action until Saturday 8th January when we travel to Welshpool.
