Newtown cruise through in SWALEC

14/12/2010 @ 10:29

Newtown reached the fourth round of rugby’s SWALEC Bowl with plenty to spare after beating Wrexham 37-7 at the weekend.
It was a convincing performance from the hosts who will hope for a favourible draw after seeing off a disappointing Wrexham side.
Flanker Ben Davies crossed for two tries and there were further scores from centre, Richard Andrew, winger, Nathan Jones and centre, Matthew Jones.
Rowan Meek converted two of the tries, and Jones a third, with Andrew kicking two penalties for the victory which could have been even more convincing.
