Striker Tom Ward has left Latham Park without kicking a ball in anger for Newtown.
Ward, who was former manager Darren Ryan's last signing before his departure, was injured in a pre-season match and has not figured since.
He has signed for Shawbury United and made his West Midlands League Premier Division debut in a 1-0 defeat against Gornall United on Tuesday night.
The front ruinner's career has been dogged by injury in recent seasons and he has spent the first two months of the season on the sidelines.
