The JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League is shaping up to be a cracking season following the latest round of results which saw the big four in Honda Division One win.
 
Llangedwyn, Llanidloes Reserves, Caersws Reserves and Guilsfield Reserves all picked up three points on Saturday, three of the four scoring five in the process.
 
A Tom Lapworth hat-trick helped Caersws Reserves win 5-3 at Churchstoke with Craig Stephens and an own goal also seeing them home. Ama Matusicwzc (2) and Alex Powell were on the mark for the hosts.
 
Llangedwyn remain unbeaten after goals from James Broadbent and Rich Evans eased them past Berriew Reserves 2-0. Adrian Foulkes, Iestyn Penri, Ross Sharp, Aaron Warwick and Chris Davies scored in Llani’s 5-0 win over Waterloo Reserves while Luke Francis (2), Sam Griffiths, Andy Downes and Wil Morgan scored in Guilsfield’s 5-0 win at Llansantffraid Village Reserves.
 
Llanfechain won 4-1 at Bettws with goals from Llion Jones (2), Bryn Thomas and Chris Edwards while Barry Morris (2) and Wil Jones scored in Llanrhaeadr Reserves’ 3-2 win over Carno.
 
The big match in Mitsubishi Division Two saw Four Crosses Reserves lose at Kerry Reserves 3-1. Nick Mumby, Carl Danson and Mark Green were on the scoresheet with Stuart Bebb’s penalty accounting for Crosses.
 
Drew Hughes and Mark Salvati helped Newtown Reserves beat Abermule Reserves 2-1 while Andrew Gwilt netted in Llandrinio’s 1-1 draw with Mordan Reserves.
 
Newtown Wanderers beat Waterloo Colts 2-1 through Jamie Smart and Mark Rivers while Llanfair Reserves shared six goals at Trefonen with Llyr Thomas (2) and Ross Lewis on the scoresheet.
