Montgomery sign the running man

 

Davies was widely expected to return to Caersws after a short sabbatical running marathons and competing in international running events, but this morning he has been unveiled on the club's web site in a Montgomery shirt (pictured).

 

Davies has played more than 300 games in the top flight for Caersws and Welshpool Town and was a member of the Bluebirds side that reached Europe in 2002.

 

Montgomery manager Clive McNamee hailed his arrival as a massive boost for the club which faces a long fight ahead for the title.

 

“We are delighted that Andy has chosen us as we know a lot of clubs were after his signature,” he said. “I think it proves how far we have come as a club when we can attract players such as Andy and Geraint Windsor. He brings a wealth of experience and I am sure his presence will help the younger lads.”
