Thomas is player-of-the-month

Guilsfield striker Will Thomas has been rewarded for his goalscoring streak by being named the Huws Gray Alliance player-of-the-month for September.
 
Guilsfield have endured a tough start to the season but have chalked up two wins on the bounce and Thomas, a summer signing from Berriew, has bagged five in three matches. Paul Davies of Flint was the manager-of-the-month.
 
In the Spar Mid Wales League, Clive McNamee’s Montgomery side maintained an unbeaten start and landed him the manager-of-the-month award, while Rhys Stephens of Llanfair United has received the Division Two award.
 
Jamie Breese of Llanidloes has been named Division One’s top player while Ben Holt of Aberdyfi received the Division Two nod.
 
Meanwhile, Caersws Reserves hit Berriew Reserves for six in the Honda Division One with Drew Reynolds, Sam Williams, Craig Stephens, Shane Swanton, and Gareth Owen (2) on target in the 6-1 win.
 
Champions Llanidloes Reserves won 3-2 at Bettws thanks to strikes from Adrian Foulkes, Jordan Jones and Ashley Owen while Guilsfield Reserves continue to get stronger after beating Llanrhaeadr Reserves 3-2 with goals from Graeme McGill, Sam Griffiths and Luke Weaver. Llangedwyn beat Waterloo Rovers 4-0 with Darren Edwards, James Broadbent, Ryan Broadbent and Sam College on target.
 
In Mitsubishi Division Two, Newtown Rangers picked up a big three points with a 2-1 win over Four Crosses Reserves with Dave Rimmer and Mark Rivers on target.
 
Matt Knight scored two and Jack Buckley-Robbins one as Llandrinio defeated Newtown Reserves 3-2. Waterloo Colts and Abermule Reserves shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw which saw John Jones’ goal for Colts cancelled out by Craig Clayton.
 
In the Llanidloes League Cup, round two, Luke Mumford and Matt Mumford scored as Kerry Reserves beat Llanfair Reserves 2-1. An Ollie Jackson strike gave Morda Reserves a 1-0 win at Llansantffraid Reserves.
