Call for Newtown ladies

Ladies in the Newtown area interested in playing rugby are being invited to join in with the sessions and games organised by Welshpool Ladies Rugby Club.

The club has launched its new season with an appeal for more players to bolster its ranks and is particularly keen to welcome more players from the Newtown area.

Player Kayla Williams said: “We welcome players of all levels of experience and fitness and even those that haven’t played the game before. It is a great way of keeping fit and we have a lot of fun and a great social side.”

The ladies train every Wednesday night at 7pm under instruction from Nick Larder.
